Celebrate May Day – Save The Date!

We invite the Fishing Creek Farm community to join our May Day Basket celebration by creating and displaying a basket of fresh flowers and/or other delights in front of your home on Monday, May 1, 2023.

The size, theme, and materials used are your choice, the only limitations are your own imagination! We will be awarding prizes for best Annapolis May Day Basket, Creative Fishing Creek Farm Basket, and Children’s Basket.  Place your basket on the front door or near your mailbox.

• Traditional Annapolis May Day Basket:

The plant materials must be fresh flowers
and/or greenery in keeping with a traditional Annapolis May Basket.  Ribbons, bows, and
other adornments can be used.

• Creative Fishing Creek Farm May Basket:

There are no restrictions on the materials that
can be used in the design. This design should reflect your personality and interests while aligning with the May Basket theme.

• Children’s Basket:

Any type of materials can be used to create
this fun basket. The Children’s category is open for children up to 12 years old.

Please plan to have your baskets on display by 11 am on Monday, May 1.  Kindly attach an index card with your name/child’s name and the category noted above.

For all May Day participants, we invite you to celebrate our collective creativity at a reception at the clubhouse on Monday evening, May 1, from 6pm – 8pm where the winners in each category will be announced.
